Police are asking for the public’s help to catch a knifeman whose Facebook post about attacking a crocodile with a knife led police to catch a bigger predator: a crocodile that was trying to rip the head and body of the victim’s friend from a vise-grip, the Daily Mail reported.

Police are asking for the public’s help to catch a knifeman whose Facebook post about attacking a crocodile with a knife led police to catch a bigger predator: a crocodile that was trying to rip the head and body of the victim’s friend from a vise-grip, the Daily Mail reported.

The man made a post on Facebook about watching a crocodile’s attack on someone with a large camera lens and went on to say in the comments, “I’m going to eat this [crocodile].”

The victim’s friends told authorities the victim had recently been in the area doing outdoor activities with others.

The police wrote in a Facebook post they believe the suspect acted alone.

The man took to Facebook to comment on events in India, asking for donations to help the victims of the recent rains. He also gave the addresses of the local police and army, both with the address of the victim’s friend.

A police spokesman said he was not a terror suspect, but the police and local authorities are seeking to identify the man.

“For the time being, this is a non-terror investigation,” said the spokesman.

The police are still reviewing whether the suspect should be investigated under terrorist laws.
