The infamous Twitter Yell At People

Pam Grier Thinks Richard Pryor and Trevor Noah Would Have Been Best Friends

Pam Grier thinks Richard Pryor and Trevor Noah would have been best friends. Not literally, but they’d have been friends with the same kind of friendship.

In the summer of 2017, Pam Grier went to a show at the now-defunct New York Palace Theatre on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It was not uncommon for her to go to shows there. But on that particular evening, it was not uncommon for her to go to a show there to yell at people.

What was uncommon was the fact that she didn’t think it was appropriate to do it to Richard Pryor.

According to a tweet she posted, Pam said, “I used to have so many nice things to say about Richard Pryor. Then I got his name tattooed on my ass.”

The tweet went on to say:

“And you know what it did? Make me a better person. But I thought it was an inappropriate way to show my support for Richard. This was before I realized that I was just a little racist.”

This is not the first time Pam has been caught using a name or otherwise mocking people to show support for them. She also uses the name “Pamela.” She even went so far as to dress as Pamela Anderson at the 2006 MTV Movie Awards to mock the then-new reality star, but she was stopped by the event’s producers.

When asked about her infamous tweet, Pam said, “People are like, ‘Who is Pamela Anderson?’”

Pam then asked, “Am I supposed to go around being like Pamela Anderson? I’m on Twitter trying to be like Pamela Anderson. I’m not wearing a dress, I’m just wearing tights. That’s the only way I can support Richard.”

“I don’t care if I’m the only person in the world who likes Richard Pryor,” she added.
