James Corden Would Rather Not Talk About That Balthazar Omelet

As if his onscreen love interest from Broad City wasn’t enough to make us all fall for him already, Saturday Night Live alumnus and now Saturday Night Live cast member Chris Parnell is quickly earning his own love affair with the manly world of manly soap operas.

The show on which Parnell is appearing in the latest season, The CW’s Once Upon A Time in Wonderland, has been delighting viewers since 2012 when the show reunited him with his fellow Broad City cast mates. When Parnell and his Broad City co-star, Rebecca Henderson, broke up last year, fans went into mourning. He has since joined her on Once, and this Saturday, Parnell and his love interest, Balthazar Omelet (played by newcomer Kevin Chamberlin), are slated to play a married couple in the TV show’s latest episode:

In the scene, when they sit down to eat, he tells her “You know, I have to say something.”

“You don’t have to,” she says. “I’m pretty familiar with men, especially now that you’re my husband.”

“I was a little worried you two would be like … you know,” he admits. “I was like, ‘Oh, my goodness.’”

“I would’ve just said, ‘Get back to the kitchen,’” she teases.

“I’m pretty sure you’re going to be like, ‘OK I’m going to the kitchen.’”

“You get out of here,” he tells her. “I can’t have you talking about me.”

The scene ends with them walking back to the kitchen, but we’re already on the edge of our seats. It’s a scene that was filmed on purpose (“We were supposed to sit down together and be like, ‘Ugh, I can’t wait to tell everyone how much I love you,
