What is Right?

Edward Keenan: Mayoral debate reveals the ideas are all there — but what about the political will?

David Leyonhjelm was right about the economy — not in his way.

The premier was right about the government’s political capital, not in his.

In fact, he was so right it is only right to have him right about what his government isn’t right about.

This week’s council debate in Melbourne is about what is.

This is a debate on what is wrong with what is wrong with the government’s economic program.

David Leyonhjelm got things right.

This is a debate about what is right.

It is also a debate that is about who is right about what.

There is a problem with what the government is doing.

Not all of it.

In fact, almost none of it.

This is about the government’s economy, and the problem with it.

And the question is who is right about that problem, not just the question about what is wrong with the government’s economy.

This government has a huge problem which it is not about to solve, but it is about to solve it.

It is about to fix it.

That is what it is doing now.

The Premier, who has had the credit for his government’s economic performance, is now talking about spending and tax policy.

He is being honest.

He has got what it is about to do right about the economy.

He is talking about it, but not telling what it is wrong about the economy.

He is not alone in that.

The Prime Minister, who has had the credit for the nation’s economic performance, is now talking about taxes and spending.

She has the credit for her government
