Wimbledon champion and the best player in the world has hit back at Nick Kyrgios when the tennis star admitted that he threw the then-world No.5 so she couldn’t make the final.
Courtney Nguyen, who is currently ranked behind Kyrgios, was left to face an angry Nick in the semi-finals.
The match was stopped after eight sets and it was noted that someone was ‘drunk out of their mind’ at one point during the match.
Kyrgios admitted he was’shaking like a leaf’ when he saw the incident and claimed he had no idea in his wildest dreams that he had just wrecked Nguyen’s career.
‘I didn’t know she was pregnant,’ he said. ‘Then I realized she was pregnant and it happened. I didn’t know.’
‘I was embarrassed as I was walking out. I wanted to be by myself. I was so embarrassed. I had only moved here to be by myself and to get away from all the drama. And she was pregnant.
