Karen Chilton, the superintendent of O.C. schools, made headlines Wednesday (Aug. 8) in a series of tweets and Facebook posts, saying that the school board would not accept any student who advocated for the concept of “critical race theory.”

She cited the school’s “zero-tolerance” policy for any form of bigotry and the fact that one of the school’s most prominent faculty members, Professor Dr. Charles Ogletree, supported the concept of black supremacy.

Chilton’s words drew fierce criticism across social media networks and quickly garnered a firestorm of negative reaction.

Criticizing Chilton in terms of her personal beliefs, a number of social media users suggested that the superintendent was simply ignoring or rejecting the science of racial differences.
